Delbert Lee Malone, 67, of Nevada formerly of Pilot Mound, passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2016, at his home in Nevada. Delbert was born June 22, 1948, in Harlan, Iowa to John Joe Jack and Myrtle (Baber) Malone. On April 4, 1998, he was united in marriage to Roxanne Hellyer in Nevada. Delbert enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing, hunting and camping. He also liked working on cars, puzzles and watching western TV shows. Delbert is survived by his wife, Roxanne of Pilot Mound; his children: Danielle Malone of Audubon, Iowa, Mignon Garrett of Audubon, Tasha Malone of Holstein and Carl "CJ" (Brittany) Musser of Boone; his sister, Rebecca of Genesco, IL; and nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister Juanita Majerous; his brother, Richard Thomas; and his step-son, Colton Hanapal. Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 24, 2016, at Rasmusson-Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada. Burial of cremated remains will be at a later date at the Pilot Mound Cemetery in Pilot Mound. Rasmusson-Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada is handling arrangements.
