Dennis Robert Noerenberg, 79, of Roland, Iowa, died August 19, 2023, in St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids Iowa.

He was born on January 27th, 1944, to Robert and Henrietta Noerenberg in Worthington, Minnesota.

Dennis joined the navy on July 17th, 1964, He served in Vietnam and in Guam and on a torpedo retriever.

He worked at Campbell's soup for 25 years, where he met his other half Carol. They were married on January 25th, 1992, and remained happily married for 31 years. He loved his "stinker", Carol with his whole heart and they did everything together. Denny and Carol were as synonymous as PB&J. You couldn't imagine one without the other, so strong was their affection for one another.

Dennis loved riding horses and raising cattle. His favorite horse was Wendy and she always kept them entertained. Dennis and Carol bought a place in 1996, in Ocheyedan, IA they did extensive remodeling and Dennis built his own addition to the house. They spent the next 14 years raising their family and German Shepards. They moved to Roland, Iowa, in May of 2020 to live close to their youngest son and his family. Denny, as he was affectionally called by all who loved him, loved to have fun and be silly, making those around him laugh. He was a daily patron of Perkins and gave every staff member there a good ribbing and tease. He was loved by all of them there. He was notorious for being ornery with everyone he loved and affectionally teased all he loved. He was a thrill seeker and loved adventure during his life. Some of those included deer hunting, fishing, bowling, and his infamous sky dive at the age 77. Denny loved Jesus, coming to faith in Christ on September 4th, 2016 and being baptized in Worthington Baptist Church. He and Carol attended Nevada Baptist Church. We praise God that we will see him again in glory and that he is in his perfect body.

He was preceded in death by his parents Robert "Bob" and Henrietta Noerenberg (Weise), and his siblings, Jerry, Janet, Daryl and his grandson Joshua Noerenberg.

He is survived by his wife Carol Noerenberg, his sons Richard (Chelle) Noerenberg of Maple Grove, MN, David Noerenberg of Luverne,MN, Dale (Jennifer) Noerenberg of Posquoson ,VA, and Richard (Rebecca) Sittig of McCallsburg, IA. He is also survived by his 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

A visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at Rasmusson-Ryan Funeral Home (1418 Fawcett Pkwy) in Nevada. A funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday August 24, 2023 at the Nevada Baptist Church (210 West 3rd Street) in Nevada with Pastor Dennis Reynolds officiating.
