Dianna Lynn Grage, age 71, of Colo, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 30, 2026, at MercyOne Medical Center in Des Moines.

Dianna was born on April 3, 1955, in Providence, Rhode Island, the daughter of Albert J. and Lucy H. (Vieira) Duarte. She grew up with a loving family and carried the values of kindness, creativity, and devotion throughout her life.

On February 18, 1995, she was united in marriage to Carl Grage in Rhode Island. Together, they shared a life built around family, home, and the everyday moments that become treasured memories.

In her early years, Dianna worked in a jewelry factory in Rhode Island, but she spent most of her life as a devoted homemaker. She took great pride in caring for her home and loved ones, creating a place where family felt welcome, supported, and loved.

Dianna had a creative spirit and especially enjoyed crafting, including diamond art and plastic mesh art. She also enjoyed a trip to the casino and playing bingo. Dianna also loved being outdoors and spending time with her family. Her collection of rabbits brought her joy, but nothing meant more to her than being a grandma. Her grandchildren were a special light in her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them.

Dianna is survived by her son, Robert (Brandi) Peterson of Colo; her stepson, John Grage of Des Moines; her stepdaughters, Angie Grage and Nichole Jones; her siblings, Kathy (Steve) Lozito of Rhode Island, Kevin Duarte of Rhode Island, Albert Duarte of Rhode Island, her twin sister, Debra Sicilia of North Carolina, and Frances Duarte of Iowa; and her grandchildren, Alexis, Robert and Kinzlee Peterson, Paisley Wright, Olivia Burkett and Ashton and Jaxson Jones.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carl Grage; her sisters, Judy (Fred) Shaw, Violet (Marty) Mulhall and Lucy Duarte; and her brother, Richard (Annette) Duarte.

A celebration of life honoring Dianna will be held Sunday, September 13, 2026, from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. at Lakeside Living, 67677 250th Street, Lot #7, Colo, Iowa.
