Donald Frank George Classen, 89, of Maxwell, Iowa died October 6, 2021, at his home. Donald was born February 22, 1932, in Oakland, Nebraska, the son of Frank Classen and Ellen Classen. Don was united in marriage to Ellen Roher on February 22, 1957. He had worked as a forklift operator for Donnelly Marketing until his retirement in 1992. Don served in the Korean Conflict in the US Air Force from 1951 until 1955. Donald enjoyed being a member V.F.W. in Maxwell. Donald is survived by his daughter: Linda Kay Larson of Nevada; two grandchildren, Robert Moore, and Paul Moore. Donald was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ellen Irene Classen; and his sister: Carol Gaston. Graveside services will be Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. at the Maxwell Cemetery, with military honors. Rasmusson-Ryan Funeral Home in Nevada is handling arrangements.
