Douglas "Doug" James Rudkin, 61, of Collins, passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2019, at his home near Collins. Memorial visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday, May 30 at Rasmusson-Ryan Funeral Home (1418 Fawcett Pkwy) in Nevada. Burial will be at a later date at Evergreen Cemetery in Collins. Doug was born February 27, 1958, the son of Charles Arthur and Judith Fae (Huffaker) Rudkin. He served in the United States Army and enjoyed fishing, sitting around the fire and his dog, Harley. Doug was a free spirit and loved to ride his Harley motorcycle. Doug is survived by his children: Anthony (Cindy) Rudkin of Newton and David (Lauren) Rudkin of Melbourne; his brother, Daniel (Dee Dee) Rudkin of Melbourne; his grandchildren: Atley, Gracyn and Charlie Rudkin; and his second wife, Kathy Rudkin of Newton. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his first wife, Joy Rudkin. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family of Doug at the funeral home.
