Douglas Lee Johnson, 61 of Nevada, passed away Sunday, May 28, 2017, at Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines. Doug was born January 20, 1956, the son of Richard and Doris (Nixon) Johnson. He graduated from Roland-Story High School in 1974. Doug is survived by his son, Eric of Ames; his sister, Sherry Johnson of Jacksonville, Florida; his nephew, Bradly Johnson of Colo; his aunt and uncle: Carolyn and Bob Strong of Jacksonville, Florida and many cousins. Doug has been cremated and no services are planned. Inurnment of cremated remains will be at the Ames Municipal Cemetery in Ames. Rasmusson-Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada is handling arrangements.
