Duane Leslie Davis, 61 of State Center, died Thursday, July 16, 2020, at the Israel Family Hospice House in Ames. Duane was born June 30, 1959, in Nevada, the son of Donald Richard and Frances Jean (Rains) Davis. He worked as a mechanic at auto dealers and on heavy equipment while living in Utah. Most recently, he worked for Mom's Meals and HACH Chemical. In his spare time, Duane enjoyed fishing, elk hunting and golfing. Duane is survived by his significant other, Janice Davis of State Center; his parents, Donald and Frances of Nevada; his sons, Eric (Amber) Davis of Ellsworth and Joe (Pam) Weyland of Utah; his daughter, Tami (David) Bales of Kansas City, MO; his grandchildren: Alexis, Lillian and Spencer Davis, Chelsi Pass, JD Walker, CJ Weyland and Alisa Weyland and one great-granddaughter, Isabelle Stoner. He was preceded in death by his brother, Dennis Ray Davis; his step-brother, Lester James Davis and his paternal and maternal grandparents. A private graveside service will be held at the Nevada Municipal Cemetery in Nevada. Rasmusson-Ryan Funeral Home in Nevada is handling arrangements.
