Obituary

On May 21, 2018, Edward Cannon was reunited with the love of his life in his Father's house. While the world will turn without notice, all our lives will be a little dimmer without him. Ed had a genuine love of people and the gift of humility that drew people to him. He was born in LaSalle, Illinois to William and Florence Cannon on August 21, 1934. He proudly served his country with the 2nd Armored Division in post war Europe. He worked for the Rock Island Railroad followed by over 30 years at Sundstrand. Ed was a faithful member of Grace Bible Church in Gilbert. Ed is survived by his children: Timothy (Cynthia) Cannon, Christine (Joseph) Christian and Anthony (Maria) Cannon; his grandchildren: Samantha (Chris) Wilson, Jenniffer (Tye) Jones, Nathan (Kat) McClellan, Heather (Joel) Koch and Courtney (CJ) Coles; 11 great-grandchildren; and his sister, Anne (Ron) Borelli. Ed was married for 50 years to his wife, Patricia who preceded him in death and he missed her every day they were apart. He was also preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, May 23 at Rasmusson-Bacon Funeral Home (1418 Fawcett Pkwy) in Nevada. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, May 24 also at the funeral home with Pastor Larry Rupp officiating. Cremation will follow the service.
