Elaine Jean Anderson, 73 of Beaver, formerly of Collins, passed away Monday, June 24, 2024, at her home.

Elaine was born May 4, 1951, in Marshalltown, Iowa, the daughter of Gerald Paul and Bonnie Jean (Wiltsey) Evans. She graduated from Collins High School in 1969. On January 4, 1988, she was united in marriage to Max Arnold Anderson in Collins. In her early years, Elaine worked with her mom at BJ's Café in Collins before going to work for Farmers Co-op (Landus), retiring in 2016. She enjoyed music, reading and flower gardening. Elaine especially loved to spend time with her family.

Elaine is survived by her children Bruce Vasey, Melissia (Dan) Mathews, Mindy (Jeff) Fritz and Kelly (Blake) Sprecher; her grandchildren Jacob (Megan) Mathews, Shailah Mathews, Luke Mathews, Shelbey (Drake) Baade, Jacey Fritz, Brooklyn Sprecher and Karlee Sprecher; her great-grandchildren Jonah Mathews and Rhenan Baade; and her brother Garry Evans. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband Max Anderson.

A celebration of Elaine's life will be at 2 p.m. Friday, June 28, 2024, at Rasmusson-Ryan Funeral Home (1418 Fawcett Pkwy) in Nevada. Family will greet friends beginning at 12 p.m. The service will be livestreamed and can be viewed at www.rasmussonfh.com, click on Elaine's photo, then tribute wall. A private burial will be at Collins Evergreen Cemetery in Collins.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Collins Public Library or to the Collins Community Center in memory of Elaine.
