Elaine Ruth Freeman, 77 of Nevada, died Saturday, July 18, 2020, at Story County Senior Care in Nevada. Elaine was born July 25, 1942, in Belmond to John and Bernice Sebert. She graduated from Clarion High School in 1960 and was united in marriage to Larry Freeman on October 26, 1962, in Belmond. Elaine dedicated her life caring for others working as a nurse's aide. She enjoyed listening to Elvis Presley and will be remembered for being a great cook. Above all, she loved to spend time with her family. Elaine is survived by her children: Kevin (Joni) Freeman of Story City, Kent Freeman of Nevada and Kyle Freeman of Story City; her half-daughter, Dora (Bill) Smith; four grandchildren: Joe (Eva) Green, Tasha (Nato) Santos, Shane Freeman and Justin Freeman; three great-grandchildren: Emmi Santos and Chloe and Elijah Green; her sisters: Doris Anderson, Joann Nelson, Janice (Rich) Ashe and Mary Faulk; and her sister-in-law, Kim Sebert. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her sister, Darlene Sebert; her brother, Leo Sebert; and her brothers-in-law: Tony Anderson, Don Nelson, and Keith Faulk. A private family graveside service and burial will be at the Evergreen Cemetery in Clarion. Memorial contributions may be made to the family in memory of Elaine.
