Ernest "Ernie" Floyd Fisher Jr., 67, of Ames, formerly of Zearing passed away Sunday, August 30, 2015, at Riverside North Care Center in Ames. Ernie was born September 23, 1947, in Minnesota, the son of Ernest Floyd Sr. and Maxine (Swanson) Fisher and graduated from NESCO High School in 1965. Ernie is survived by his brother, Tim (Kirsten) Fisher of Grinnell; his sisters: Liz (David) Rasmusson of Ames, Becky (Joel) Coats of Ames and Lori (Clark) Smith of Colo; along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, September 2, at Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada. Graveside services will be 11:30 a.m. at the Zearing Cemetery in Zearing. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Cecilia Catholic Church in memory of Ernie.
