Gail Douglas Bridgeford, 82, of Ames, passed away, Tuesday, January 15, 2019, at his home. Cremation has taken place and a graveside service will be held at a later date in Woodbine. Gail was born November 25, 1936, the son of Kenneth and Alvina (Nauroth) Bridgeford. He graduated from St. Joseph's in Dunlap and had attended Iowa Western Community College and Iowa State University. Gail served 20 years collectively in the United States Army, Air Force and Navy. He lived 34 years in Ames and in his early years enjoyed golf. Gail is survived by his sister, Kathleen Ware of Oelwein; his nieces: Rebecca (Tegan) Wilson and Melissa (Michael) Pino; his great-niece, Hannah Wilson; his great-nephew, Abe Wilson; and his aunt, Beverly Naurouth. He was preceded in death by his parents. Rasmusson Funeral Home in Nevada is handling arrangements.
