Gale B. Lamberson Jr., 68 of Nevada, died Monday, September 7, 2020, at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames. Gale was born July 3, 1952, in Des Moines the son of Gale Brown Sr. and Jo Ann (Agan) Lamberson. He graduated from Des Moines Tech in 1970 and was united in marriage to Patricia Christine Smith on March 1, 1975, in Des Moines. Gale and his business partner opened Mechanical Comfort, Inc. in 1989. He retired from the company on January 30, 2015. He enjoyed drag racing, working on cars and had a knack to be able to fix anything. He enjoyed getting in the car for spur of the moment road trips and especially loved boating and late-night chats on their deck with his family at Lake of the Ozarks. Gale is survived by his wife, Chris of Nevada; his dad, Gale Sr. of Des Moines; his daughter, Kelli (Marvin Sorber) Lamberson of Altoona; his son, Mike (Ashlee) Lamberson of Nevada; his grandchildren: Emma, Patrick, Sawyer, Elizabeth and "Little Man" (due in October); and his sister, Sonda (Brian) Patrick of Des Moines. And nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother. A funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday, September 11 at Rasmusson-Ryan Funeral Home in Nevada. Family will greet friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery in Nevada. Masks and social distancing are recommended.
