Galen Pritchard Lough, 80, of Nevada, Iowa passed away on October 3, 2023, at Story County Senior Care in Nevada.

Galen was born on June 18, 1943, in Des Moines, IA, to Frank and Virginia (Pritchard) Lough.

He graduated from Nevada High School in 1961. He married Diana Stone on September 2, 1966, and they had one son Mike.

He worked for Story County Secondary Roads for twenty-one years.

In his younger years he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and mushroom hunting. He was a fan of the Saint Louis Cardinals.

Galen is survived by his wife Diana, his son Mike Lough of Nevada, IA, his grandson Tanner (Jenny) Lough of Mitchellville, IA, his beloved cat Missy as well as many other extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents and stepfather Murl Sutton.

Galen's wishes are to be cremated and no service will be held.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Story County Animal Shelter in memory of Galen.
