Gary Markley, 69, of Nevada, Iowa, passed away April 16, 2024, at his home.

Gary was born June 30, 1954, in Ames, Iowa, the son of Elmer and Marilyn (Hagen) Markley. Gary graduated from Ballard High School in 1972. Gary had worked in the concrete business in Iowa and as a Valet in California. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and trapping.

Gary is survived by his son and daughter-in-law: Brandon and Lindsey Markley of Anamosa, Iowa; five grandchildren; two brothers: Steve Markley of California, Clint Markley of Iowa; and a sister: Edie Seye of Iowa.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents; a brother: Terry Markley; a sister: Becky Mennes; and a nephew: Kalen Markley.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.

The Rasmusson-Ryan Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
