Harlan Dale Johnson, 73, of Knoxville, passed away Thursday, September 6, 2018, at Westridge Specialty Care in Knoxville. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, September 13, at Rasmusson-Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada with burial to follow at the Nevada Municipal Cemetery in Nevada. Family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Harlan was born June 14, 1945, in Fort Dodge, the son of Dale and Viola (Larson) Johnson. He graduated from Roland High School in 1963 and from Luther College in 1967. Harlan served in the United States Army from 1967 until his honorable discharge in 1969. Harlan worked for Fawn Engineering as a purchasing agent and Motorola retiring in 2005. Harlan is survived by his children: David (Kate) Johnson and Kristen Johnson; four grandchildren; and his brothers: Harold Johnson and Joel (Barb) Johnson. He was preceded in death by his parents.
