Harriet Green, 96, of Pleasant Hill, passed away Sunday, July 20, 2014, at the Parkridge Nursing and Rehab Center in Pleasant Hill. Harriet was born November 29, 1917, in Maxwell to Archie and Viola Witmer. She graduated from Maxwell High School and was united in marriage to Richard Green on November 9, 1938 at her parents' home near Maxwell. Harriet was a member of the Peoria United Methodist Church and was a homemaker and worked hard as a housewife. Harriet is survived by her son, Dale (Sharon) Green of Lake Almanor, CA; and her grandson, Chad Green. She was preceded in death by her husband in 2008; her parents; and two brothers, Marold and Carroll Witmer. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Sunday, August 24, 2014, at Peoria Cemetery near Maxwell. Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada is handling arrangements.
