Harry Garnel Clark, 71, passed away April 29, 2024, at his home.

Harry was born December 4, 1952, in Ames, Iowa the son of Dale Eugene Clark, Sr. and Georgia Mae Southern. He served in the Army Reserved and was united in marriage to Deborah Louise Amsbaugh on December 4, 1975, at Kelly Lutheran Church. He worked as a corn breeder for his popcorn company and for BASF in Ames, retiring in 2015. Harry loved nature and animals, especially his Shorkie, Buddy, and his cat, Dolly. Harry and Deb took many trips with family to the Ozarks to go boating and to Minnesota and Colorado to ski.

Harry was a loving husband, dad, and grandpa. He is survived by his wife, Deborah; his children: Melissa, Dax, and Gavin; and his five grandchildren.

Harry's wishes were to be cremated and no services will be held.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ames Animal Shelter in memory of Harry.
