James Allen Fox, 59 of Maxwell, passed away Sunday, June 18, 2017, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. James was born September 8, 1957, in Fort Dodge, the son of Fred Fox and Betty Anderson. He graduated from Marshfield High School in Marshfield, Missouri and had worked as a firefighter and paramedic for the Des Moines Fire Department. James was currently working for the Iowa DOT as part of the bridge inspection team. He enjoyed horses, traveling, hunting, fishing, being outdoors and riding his Harley-Davidson. James is survived by his children: Nick Isom, Christina (Dave) Traudt and Elizabeth (Ryan) Jones; ten grandchildren: Colton, Grace, Grant, Garrett, Alexia, Kiley, Natalii, Tenley, Annison and Everly; his brothers: John (Wanda) Fox, Ron (Kim) Fox, Randy Fox and Lynn Fox; his sisters: Pam (Jim) Boughton and Patty (Jess) Howard; and special relatives Ted and Bea Winters. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Friday, July 14, at Rasmusson-Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada (1418 Fawcett Pkwy). Burial of cremated remains will be at Greenfield Cemetery in Greenfield. Rasmusson-Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada is handling arrangements.
