James Geske, 47, of Nevada passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2011, at Israel Family Hospice House in Ames. James was born June 6, 1964, to George and Norma (Zell) Geske. He graduated from Manson High School in 1983, then attended Iowa Central College and Buena Vista College. Most recently, James was working as a farmer. James enjoyed hunting and fishing. James is survived by his brothers, Joel of Ames and John (Barb) of Oekmos, Michigan; his sisters, Muriel (Roger) Pfaff of Marrietta, Georgia and Marcia (James) Crosby of Germantown, Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his parents. Memorial services will be held 10 a.m. Friday, October 21, 2011, at Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada. Private burial of cremated remains will take place at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Homeward Hospice or the University of Iowa Hospitals Foundation.
