Janet Judge, 87 of Nevada, died Thursday, February 9, 2023, at her son's home in Randall.
Janet was born April 21, 1935, in Boone, Iowa, the daughter of D.B. and Doris (Cornwall) Main. She graduated from Boone High School in 1953 and was united in marriage to Michael R. Judge on June 9, 1956, in Boone. She was a dedicated mother and wife. In her spare time, Janet enjoyed playing cards and was very active in her church, serving as a Eucharistic Minister.
Janet is survived by her children, Mark (Rhonda) Judge of Randall and Matthew (Sherry) Judge of Des Moines; her grandchildren: Mindy (Dan) Troutwine, Levi (Carissa) Judge, Amy Judge, Morgan and Mason Judge; her great-grandchildren: Austin, Jaxson, Lily, Jordy, Bryson and Kyler; and her great-great granddaughter, Nevaeh. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and her sister, Phyllis Hove.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Thursday, February 23, 2023, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church (1110 11th Street) in Nevada. Family will greet friends one hour prior to the Mass. Inurnment will be at St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery in Nevada. The service will be livestreamed and can be accessed by going to www.rasmussonfh.com, clicking on Janet's photo, then tribute wall.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Patrick's Catholic Church in memory of Janet.
The family would like to thank the nurses Heidi and Lynn at St. Croix Hospice and her granddaughters, Amy and Lily for the exceptional care of Janet.
