Janice J. Franklin, 77 of Maxwell, passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at Rolling Green Village in Nevada.

Janice was born December 18, 1946, in Des Moines, Iowa to Ralph and Mary Jo (Hull) Clinton. She graduated from St. Joseph's Academy in 1965, an all-girls Catholic High School. In April of 1979, Janice was united in marriage to Larry Franklin in Newton.

Janice and Larry bought a 1959 Edsel automobile in the 1980's and soon met many other Edsel owners. They soon joined the Iowa Edsel Owners Club of which members were like family to Janice. She enjoyed going to car shows and attending club meetings.

Janice is survived by her husband, Larry; and her friends, Barb Meeks, Maureen Mitchell, Marty Swigart, Mary Ann Porter, and Nancy Krukow; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.

A visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at Rasmusson-Ryan Funeral Home (422 First Street) in Maxwell. A graveside service will follow at 11 a.m. at the Maxwell Cemetery in Maxwell.
