Jeanette Kay Hinton, 74 of Collins, died Tuesday, November 30, 2021, at her home in Collins. Jeanette was born July 6, 1947, in Des Moines, the daughter of Forrest L. and Carol I. (Kimberley) Long. She graduated from Collins High School in 1965 and worked for Wellmark Blue Cross/Blue Shield as a claims examiner for more than 20 years. Jeanette enjoyed tending her flowers, watching movies and never missed an episode of "Days of Our Lives". She especially loved to spend time with her family and support her grandchildren in all their activities. Jeanette is survived by her daughter, Stefani (Dan) Wonders of Nevada; her grandchildren, Ryan and Jackson Wonders; her sisters, Nancy (Perry) Upchurch of Colo and Sue (Jay) Logsdon of Maxwell. She was preceded in death by her parents. Jeanette has been cremated and a service will be held at a later date. Burial will be at Collins Evergreen Cemetery in Collins.
