Jeff Thompson, 44, of McCallsburg, passed away Sunday, March 8, 2015, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. Jeff was born October 5, 1970, to Kenneth Lynn and Debra Kay (Overmire) Thompson. He graduated from Nevada High School in 1989, and was working for the Story County Can and Bottle Redemption. Jeff enjoyed 3XW Wrestling, heavy metal music, movies and taking care of the horses. Jeff is survived by his parents, Kenneth and Debra Thompson of McCallsburg; his brother, Kenneth E. (Heather) Thompson of Nevada; his nephews, Tyler (Kate) Thompson of Nevada, Logan Krier of Ames, and Jackson Thompson of Nevada; his nieces, Samantha (Eric) Lawson of Nevada and Madison Thompson of Nevada; his great-niece, Miya Thompson; his great-nephew, Tanner Lawson. A celebration of Jeff's life will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, April 11, 2015, at the First United Methodist Church in Nevada (1036 7th Street), with Pastor Chris Waddle officiating.
