Jeffery Scott Badger, 59, passed away Sunday, March 24, 2019. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Friday, March 29 at Rasmusson-Ryan Funeral Home (1418 Fawcett Pkwy) in Nevada. A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, March 30 also at the funeral home. Cremated remains will be inurned at a later date at Ames Municipal Cemetery in Ames. Jeff was born September 6, 1959, in Grinnell, Iowa the son of William Robert and Marilyn Kaye (Ladely) Badger. He graduated from Newton High School in 1978 and attended William Penn University. On February 13, 1998, Jeff was united in marriage to Stephanie Prouty in Des Moines. He had been working for Draintech in Ames and enjoyed reading and keeping busy doing work around the house. Jeff will be remembered for having a great sense of humor. Above all, Jeff loved spending time with his family. Jeff is survived by his wife, Stephanie of Nevada; his children: Amy Badger (Adam Cunningham) of Des Moines, William, Grace, Joshua and Caleb Badger all of Nevada; his brothers: William (Lynn) Badger of Nevada, Micheal (Linda) Badger of Ames and Patrick (Amy) Badger of Itasca, IL; and his sister, Pamela Hansen of Ankeny.
