Jerry Michael "Mike" Gross Jr. 54 of Maxwell, died Saturday, July 11, 2020, at his home in Maxwell. A visitation will be 1 p.m. Saturday, July 18, 2020 at Rasmusson-Ryan Funeral Home (422 First Street) in Maxwell with a graveside service at 1:30 p.m. at the Maxwell Cemetery in Maxwell. Mike was born February 11, 1966, in Des Moines, the son of Jerry Michael Sr. and Norma (Enterline) Gross. He worked last four years driving a truck for ABF Freight in Ankeny of his driving career that spanned 30 years. Mike is survived by his son, Tyler Gross of Maxwell; his father, Jerry Gross Sr. of Norwalk; his step-children: Kasi Reed of Maxwell, Andy (Ashley) Lockey of Slater and Allissa (Dan) Hansen of Maxwell; his brother, Tom Gross of Maxwell; his sister, Pam (Mack) McDougal of LeClair; and his grandchildren: Anabelle Turpen, Rosalei Reed, Holly Reed, Morgan, Brooklyn and Olivia Lockey, Justin and Joseph Brafford. He was preceded in death by his mother. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of Mike. Rasmusson-Ryan Funeral Home in Maxwell is handling arrangements.
