Jerald "Jerry" Lynn Reeb, age 73 of Maxwell, passed away Friday, February 20, 2026, at his home. Born on June 28, 1952, in Antwerp, Ohio, Jerry was the beloved son of Hilton "Biff" and Clara "Pug" (Persyn) Reeb. He graduated from Antwerp High School in 1970 and soon after enlisted in the United States Army, proudly serving his country.
Jerry began his journey in over-the-road trucking alongside his father at a young age, laying the foundation for a distinguished career that spanned 44 years. His commitment and hard work earned him membership in the Teamsters Union, and his colleagues knew him as a reliable and dedicated professional.
In 2010, Jerry met Jody Nelson, and on June 11, 2020, they were united in marriage in Maxwell, beginning a new chapter filled with love and companionship. In his free time, Jerry cherished the freedom of riding his Harley, finding peace on the open road. He was an animal lover at heart, with a special affection for horses and dogs.
Those who knew Jerry will remember his caring and giving nature, his warm heart, and his ability to lighten any situation with humor and kindness. He leaves behind a legacy of compassion and joy, touching the lives of many. Jerry will be remembered for his ability to always tell a good story.
Jerry is survived by his devoted wife, Jody; his son, Eric (Denise) Reeb; his daughters, Sara (Ben) Reeb, Morgan (Cody) Ellis, Jacque Angell, and Julie Angell; his brothers, John (Jan) Reeb and Jeff Reeb; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many dear friends.
A memorial service honoring Jerry's life will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at Rasmusson-Ryan Funeral Home, 422 First Street, in Maxwell. Family will greet friends beginning at 9 a.m. until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jerry's memory to Furry Friends Refuge or St. Jude. Arrangements have been entrusted to Rasmusson-Ryan Funeral Home in Maxwell.
