Joseph "Joe" Lee Krebs, 48 of Roland, died Friday, October 29, 2021, at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames. Joe was born October 29, 1973, in Des Moines, the son of Kim Richard and Teresa Denise (Monahan) Krebs. He graduated from Nevada High School in 1992 and was united in marriage to Chasity Schroeder on August 4, 2001, in Nevada. Joe worked for the City of Ames as Superintendent of the Water Pollution Control Plant. Joe enjoyed all music, playing his guitar, cooking, hunting and fishing. Above all, he loved to spend time with his family. Joe is survived by his wife, Chasity; his daughters, Gabrielle and Grace Krebs; his parents, Kim and Teresa Krebs; his sister, Lori (Jeremy) White, his in-laws, Mark Evans and Cheri Fruit; and 14 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents. A visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Friday, November 5, 2021, at Memorial Lutheran Church (701 11th Street) in Nevada. A funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, November 6, 2021, also at the church. Burial will follow at the Nevada Municipal Cemetery in Nevada. Memorial contributions may be made to Joe's family for a memorial bench to be placed at Ada Hayden in his memory. Rasmusson-Ryan Funeral Home in Nevada is handling arrangements.
