John Howard Gibson, Jr., 72, of Maxwell, Iowa died October 6, 2021, at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames, Iowa. John was born July 20, 1949, in Des Moines, Iowa, the son of John Howard Gibson, Sr. and Jeannette Agnes Archer Gibson. John had worked as a Home Health Care Provider prior to retiring. John attended the Bethesda Full Gospel Church in Des Moines. He enjoyed playing guitar and working on computers. John is survived by his son: Christopher Gibson of Corbin, Kentucky; three daughters: Melissa Gibson Quinn (Shawn) of Des Moines, Iowa, Kimberly Ann Gibson-Tyrrell of Urbandale, Iowa, Nicole Gibson of Des Moines, Iowa; 10 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two brothers: Steve Gibson of Guthrie Center, Iowa, Mike Gibson of Des Moines, Iowa; and three sisters: Diane McGuire of Des Moines, Iowa, Barb Willis of Corbin, Kentucky, and Debbie Wise of Des Moines, Iowa. John was preceded in death by his parents. Graveside Services will be 3:30 PM Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at the Berwick Cemetery.
