Joy Lee Upton, 60, of Nevada, formerly of Monmouth, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2017, at Rolling Green Village in Nevada. Joy was born in California on July 19, 1956, the daughter of Arthur and Marjorie (Hoover) Akins. Joy is survived by her children: Terri Wulf of Montgomery, IA, April (Brian) Schultz of Boone and Arthur (Sarah) Bigsby of Bushnell, IL; her siblings: Barb (Danny) Watkins, Suzie (Steve) Flesner, Robert (Rose) Akins and Toni Gabel; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Joy was preceded in death by her parents. Joy has been cremated and services will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the family in memory of Joy.
