Julia Anne Wierson, 69, of Maxwell, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, March 20,2024, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa.

Julia was born November 8, 1954, in Nevada, Iowa, the daughter of Harold "Junior" and Janet Morgan Schauper. She graduated from Maxwell High School in 1973 and graduated from the Bernel Hairstyling College in Ames, Iowa. Julia was united in marriage to Doug Wierson on December 4, 1981, at the Maxwell Presbyterian Church. In her early adult life, Julia had a Dance Studio and Beauty Shop in her home for several years. Julia then went to work for the United States Postal Service where she worked in Maxwell and served as the Postmaster in Collins, Iowa. She was a member of the Maxwell Methodist Church and the Maxwell Mother's Club.

Julia loved her family and spending time at the lake and being involved with her grandchildren's activities. She would often let the grandchildren practice their cosmetic skills on her hair and nails. She was an artist, and excellent seamstress, known for her sewing.

Julia is survived by her husband, Doug Wierson of Maxwell, Iowa; four sons: Chris (Mandy) Wierson of Collins, Iowa, Michael (Deidre) Wierson of Jackson, Minnesota, Joe (Kelly) Wierson of Maxwell, Iowa, Kent (Kayle) Wierson of Cambridge, Iowa; 11 grandchildren: Josie, Kenzi, Chloe, Cooper, Adeline, Annabelle, Cy, Logan, Morgan, Kentley, Kippton; and her sister: Cynde Schauper (Celia Jordan) of Chicago, Illinois.

Julia was preceded in death by her parents; her stepfather: Ole Olson; and a sister: Andrea Dykstra.
