Kent Alan Sorensen, 70 of Ames, died Monday, May 16, 2022, at the Israel Family Hospice House in Ames. Kent was born September 21, 1951, in Nevada, Iowa, the son of Kermit Charles and Geraldine Yvonne (Huebner) Sorensen. He graduated from Nevada High School in 1970. Following graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army, serving from January of 1971 until November of 1972. Kent owned a window washing business for 15 years. Kent was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Linda Sorensen. Kent has been cremated and no services are planned. Inurnment will be at the Nevada Municipal Cemetery in Nevada.
