Kevin Anthony "Tobor" Aldrich, 63, of Nevada, Iowa, died at his home Friday, August 29, 2014. Graveside Memorial Services will be 10:30 AM Saturday, September 6th, at Peoria Cemetery near Maxwell. A time of fellowship and a lunch will be held at the Cambridge Community Center at the fire station in Cambridge following the service. Tobor was born May 12, 1951 at Cambridge, Iowa, the son of Charles and June (Talbert) Aldrich. He attended Ballard Schools. Tobor had been a concrete finisher for many years until his retirement due to disabilities. Tobor enjoyed cooking, fishing and hunting. He loved his grandchildren. He is survived by 2 "Step-children": Charity Gillenwater of Ames, Iowa, Joe Gillenwater of New Orleans, Louisiana; 3 grandchildren; two brothers: Steve (Marilyn) Aldrich of Newton, Iowa, Jim (Christine) Aldrich of Ames, Iowa; four sisters: Susan Cerretti of Colo, Iowa, Robin Blue of Marshalltown, Iowa, Bonny (Wayne) Dulaney of Nevada, Iowa, Karen (Raymond) Harrelson of Cambridge, Iowa; his ex-wife: Dorothy of Ames, Iowa; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers: Charles, Chris, Bob, Tom; and one sister: Elaine Charlet. In lieu of flowers: memorials may be made to the Kevin Tobor Aldrich Memorial Fund. The Bacon Funeral Home and Crematory in Nevada is handling the arrangements.
