Obituary

Lee Corliss Myers, 55 of Cambridge, passed away Thursday, March 28, 2024, at the Israel Family Hospice House in Ames.

Lee was born July 27, 1968, in Vinton, Iowa, the son of Alwyne Corliss and Illa Lee (Van Der Venter) Myers. He graduated from Davis County High School in 1986 and was united in marriage to Barbara Lynn Kilburn at the Des Moines Botanical Center on April 4, 1992. Lee had worked for Mary Greeley Medical Center as a chef and was most recently working for Northridge Village.

Lee was a member of the Cornerstone Pentecostal Church in Des Moines. In his free time, he enjoyed woodworking projects and constructing models.

Lee is survived by his wife, Barb of Cambridge; his children, Noah Myers of Ankeny; Michelle (Connor) Wilkening of Huxley and Matthew Myers of Ankeny; his parents, Corliss and Illa Myers of Marshalltown; his sister, Candice Myers of Cedar Rapids; and a grandson on the way, Fletcher Lee Wilkening.

A visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at Rasmusson-Ryan Funeral Home (1418 Fawcett Pkwy) in Nevada. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at Cornerstone Pentecostal Church (4148 E. 29th Street) in Des Moines with Pastor Bert Johnson officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to any leukemia charity of your choice in memory of Lee.
