Leonard Lee Keltner, 68, of Nevada, passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2019, at his home in Nevada. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, July 24 at Rasmusson-Ryan Funeral Home (1418 Fawcett Pkwy) in Nevada. Leonard was born December 30, 1950, to Leonard H. and Dorothy (Bennink) Keltner. He graduated from Nevada High School in 1969 and earned his associate degree from DMACC. On June 15, 1985, he was united in marriage to Leona Norman. Leonard served in the United States Army and worked for Martin Marietta in the Ames mine, retiring in 2015. He enjoyed reading, astronomy and being outside. Leonard is survived by his children: Leonard Glen (Sheri) Keltner, Jenny Keltner, Doug Keltner and Laura Gene (Jamon) Walker; and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife. Memorial contributions may be made to Friends of Iowa Public Television.
