NEVADA - Linda Banks, 62, of Nevada, died Saturday, October 21, 2006 at Story County Medical Center. She was born January 25, 1944 in Huxley, Iowa, the daughter of Walter and Gladys Selda (Hill) Williams. She was united in marriage to Harley James Banks on February 1, 1964 in Maxwell. Harley preceded Linda in death on December 31, 2003. Linda had worked as a Nurse's Aid until retiring due to health reasons. She was raised in the Fjieldburg Lutheran Church at Huxley. Linda loved her grandchildren and enjoyed the time she could be with them. She is survived2 sons: Kevin Banks of Nevada, Joey Banks of Ames; 2 daughters: Lisa Banks of Zearing, Tracy (Rick) Hinders of Colo; 11 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 4 brothers: Dennis Williams of Des Moines, Romain Williams, Max Williams, both of Huxley, Terry Williams of Ames, and 3 sisters: Sandra Banks of Nevada, Judy Banks of Stanhope, and Vicki Harmon of Allman. Linda was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, 2 brothers: Dale and Herschel; and 2 sisters: Ilene and Wahnita. Memorial services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday at the Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada. Burial will be at a later date in the Nevada Municipal Cemetery.
