Linda Lorraine (Pohlman) Hilton, 70, of Cedar Falls, passed away Monday, July 29, 2019, at her home. Linda was born May 14, 1949, in Mapleton, Iowa the daughter of Leo Daniel and Frieda Mae (Dahl) Pohlman. She graduated from Mingo High School and attended college in Rockford, Illinois earning her dental assistant designation. Linda married Robert Sweeney on July 6, 1968; he passed away in 1981. She was later united in marriage to William Hilton, who passed away in 2011. Linda worked for Iowa State University as an Executive Secretary in the Animal Science Department until her health declined and she could no longer work. Linda enjoyed photography, china painting, sewing and crafts. She also enjoyed music and loved to sing. Linda will be remembered for her strong faith. Linda is survived by her children: Melea (Eric) Ballou of Cedar Rapids and Daymon (Michelle) Sweeney of Story City; her brothers: Larry (Joyce) Pohlman of Nevada and Mark (Tracy) Pohlman of Mingo; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
