Linda Alane Lewis lost her eighteen-month courageous battle of pancreatic cancer on May 19, 2024, at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames, Iowa.

Linda was born on June 28, 1962, in Des Moines, Iowa. She was the daughter of Charles Crandall and Patricia Ann (Shefchik) Crandall. She was raised in Pleasantville and graduated from Pleasantville High School with the class of 1980.

Linda was united in marriage to Michael Lewis on August 18, 1984. The couple lived in Huxley, Iowa and later welcomed their only daughter, Jessica on June 6, 1991. Later, the family moved to a farm outside of Maxwell, Iowa to fulfill their dreams of living in the country. Linda enjoyed being a mother. She worked for Wellmark Blue Cross Blue Shield for a number of years and later retired working for Michael's law firm.

In Linda's spare time she enjoyed cooking for her family members and friends, going to Meskwaki Bingo Casino with her best friend Jen, and spending time with her family. Her best friend, Benny, her Great Pyrenees was always by her side. She was kind to everyone she met, had an infectious smile, while wearing her big, beautiful heart on her sleeve.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents and older sister, Dawn. Those left to cherish Linda's memory include her husband, Michael; daughter Jessica (Daniel); grandchildren, Adrienne and Avery; siblings Larry Neff, James Neff, Karen Ray, Kathy Bates, Donald Neff, and Christine Huston and many other family members and friends.

Please join us at Twin Anchors Golf Course for a "Celebration of Life" at 2pm on June 8, 2024. Linda's wishes were to have a celebration where everyone could remember her while smiling and visiting with one another.

A private family burial will be scheduled at a later date.
