Lisa Ann Anderson, 58 of Nevada, died Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics in Iowa City.
Lisa was born March 18, 1963, in Iowa City, the daughter of Donald Dean and Janice Lee (Fuller) Knott. She graduated from Nevada High School in 1981 where she was active in marching band, Pep Club, Yearbook, Symphonic Band and mixed chorus. Lisa attended Ellsworth Community College for two years before enrolling at DMACC in their dental assistant program, leading her to a more than 20-year career at Stephenson Dental in Nevada.
Lisa was a member of the Iowa Dental Assistant Association and Leiomyosarcoma Support Group (raising awareness for the rare type of cancer she fought for more than three years). She enjoyed crafts, going on junk jaunts, road trips and camping.
Lisa is survived by her significant other, Dirk Zuercher of Nevada; her children: John Wayne Anderson of Council Bluffs, Annelise (Seth) Triplett of Waukee and Dannon (Hailey) Anderson of Green Bay; her parents, Don and Janice Knott of Nevada; her brother, Steve (Michelle) Knott of Zearing and her granddaughter, Charlotte Triplett.
A visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday, October 7, 2021, at Rasmusson-Ryan Funeral Home (1418 Fawcett Pkwy) in Nevada. A graveside service will be at Jackson Township Cemetery near Owasa, Iowa on Friday, October 8, 2021, at 10:30 a.m.
