Lloyd "Ole" Dale Olson, 83, of Maxwell died September 24, 2006 in Maxwell. Ole was born June 25, 1923 in Cherokee County, Iowa, the son of Earl and Goldie (Downey) Olson. On June 19, 1978 he married Janet Morgan in Las Vegas, NV who preceded him in death in 2001. Ole was a salesman with Prudential Insurance Company and later was employed by the United States Post Office in Des Moines. He moved from Des Moines to Maxwell in 1983. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Maxwell. Ole loved spending time with his grandchildren, serving the Lord and doing yard work. Ole is survived by a son, Douglas Olson of Santa Barbara, CA; daughters: Janet (Randy) Long of Ozark, MO; Andrea Dykstra of Maxwell, IA; Cynthia Schaupper of Chicago, IL; and Julia (Doug) Wierson of Maxwell, IA; two brothers: Eugne Flisher of Arkansas and LeRoy Flisher of Des Moines, IA; two sisters, Betty Fitzgerald and Goldie Smith, both of Des Moines, IA; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. His parents, his wife, Janet, and a brother and a sister preceded him in death.
