Loren Edgar Eatwell, 91, of Maxwell, passed away Thursday, March 5, 2015, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. Loren was born October 30, 1923, in Lake Crystal, Minnesota to John and Florence (Rollings) Eatwell. He graduated from Mingo High School and was united in marriage to Lucille Link on February 8, 1953. Loren was a member of Farm Bureau and the Maxwell United Methodist Church and farmed outside Maxwell all his life. Loren is survived by his son, Dr. Lindy (Vicki) Eatwell of St. James, MN; his son-in-law, Clint Luscombe of West Des Moines; his grandchildren, Nathaniel Eatwell, Quinlan (Maegan) Eatwell, Allison Luscombe and Ryan Luscombe; and three sisters, Bonnie Ferguson of Colfax, Betty Reed of Indianola and Shirley Eatwell of Bolingbrook, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife in 2008; his daughter, Lorie Luscombe in 2004; and several brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 14, at Bacon Funeral Home in Maxwell with interment to follow at the Maxwell Cemetery. Family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Samaritan's Purse in memory of Loren.
