Louphena "Lou" Belle Ihle, 90 of Nevada, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Monday, October 7, 2024.

Lou was born December 30, 1933, in Linden, Iowa, the daughter of LaVerne and LaVonne (Warford) Klockentager. She attended Ames High School and was united in marriage to Jackie "Jack" Ihle on January 16, 1952, in Omaha, NE. Lou was a member of the Ames Moose Lodge and retired from the RH Donnelly Company in Nevada in 1995. She enjoyed gambling, camping and fishing. Lou especially loved to spend time with her grandchildren.

Lou is survived by her daughter, Roxanne Scott of Nevada; her grandchildren Jennifer (Landon) Earles of Nevada and Matt (Anna) Litchfield of Nevada; her great-grandchildren Sadie, Shelby, Macey and Mattie Backoff; her step-great-grandson Dustyn Earles; along with several nieces and nephews. Lou was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her sister Lillian Gardner; and her son-in-law Ron Scott.

A graveside service will be 1 p.m. Friday, October 11, 2024, at the Nevada Municipal Cemetery in Nevada with Pastor David Burling officiating. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mary Greeley Hospice in memory of Lou.
