Lucy Geisler, 100 of Colo, passed away Monday, September 11, 2023, at Israel Hospice House in Ames, Iowa.

Lucy was born May 16, 1923, in rural Boone County, Iowa, the daughter of Maurice and Gertrude (Branning) Noring. She graduated from Collins High School in 1942. She was a dedicated Mom and Grandma, and loved her family. She was a wonderful cook and pie baker!

Lucy was a long-time member of the Colo United Methodist Church in Colo, where she was involved in church circle and served at various church functions. She was a member of the BF&T Club in Colo. She enjoyed taking walks, playing cards, embroidery, reading, dancing and was an avid Iowa State basketball and football fan.

Lucy is survived by her children: Jerry (Linda) Geisler of Cedar Falls, Letha (Richard) DeMoss of Ames and Bonnie Warner of Colorado Springs: her 6 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews as well as many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Glenn, Verne and William "Pete" Noring, her grandson Jeff Osmundson, her granddaughter Kim Warner, and a great-great granddaughter.

A visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at Rasmusson-Ryan Funeral Home (1418 Fawcett Pkwy) in Nevada. A funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 14, 2023, at the Colo United Methodist Church (602 4th Street) in Colo with Pastor Nikki Ross-Bishop officiating. Burial will follow at the Colo Cemetery in Colo.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Colo United Methodist Church and The Colo Library.
