Lugene Gaedke, 77 of Colo, passed away Thursday, October 5, 2017, at Story County Senior Care in Nevada. Lugene was born September 19, 1940, in Cambridge, the daughter of Lester and Lola (McKeever) Miller. On September 5, 1964, she was united in marriage to James Gaedke in Nevada. Together they enjoyed camping, attending car shows and traveling. Lugene retired from Sauer-Danfoss and in her later years, she enjoyed playing Yahtzee, puzzles and reading. Above all, Lugene loved spending time with her family. Lugene is survived by her sons: Jayme Gaedke of Colo and Justin (Teresa) Gaedke of Colo; her daughter, Denise Gaedke of Colo; her grandchildren: Ethan Rutter, Shelby Jo Rutter, Paige Gaedke, Cody Gaedke, Cassidy Gaedke, Blake Stevens, Deserae Tillotson and Kelsey Tillotson; and her sister, Margaret Gaedke of Colo. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and two brothers: Larry and Donald "Pete" Miller. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Monday, October 9, at Rasmusson-Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 10 also at the funeral home. Burial of cremated remains will be at a later date at the Cambridge Cemetery in Cambridge. Memorial contributions may be made to the family in memory of Lugene. Rasmusson-Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada is handling arrangements.
