MAXWELL - Lynette Johnson, 63, of Maxwell, died Friday, October 27, 2006 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. Lynette was born November 2, 1942 in Lake City, Iowa, the daughter of William O. and Myrtle (Toyne) Troxel. After graduating from Lake City High School. Lynette attended Business College in Ottumwa. She was united in marriage to John A. Johnson on October 18, 1963 in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Lynette had worked for over 30 years at the Story County Courthouse, retiring from the Story County Attorney's Office. She was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Cross in Altoona. Iowa. Lynette enjoyed her retirement, her 5 grandchildren and quilting. Lynette is survived by her husband, John, of Maxwell; 2 sons and daughters-in-law: Matt and Deborah Johnson of Naperville, IL, Kurt and Sally Johnson of Altoona, IA; 5 grandchildren: Brian, Jacob, Eion, Liam, Lily; and a sister: Kathy (Don) Williams of Mulvane, KS. Her parents and three siblings in infancy preceded Lynette in death. Visitation with the family will be Monday 6:30-7:30 PM at the Bacon Funeral Home in Maxwell. A prayer service will follow the visitation. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
