Lynn "Lyle" Eugene Neuendorf, 52 of Zearing, died Tuesday, March 30, 2021, at his home surrounded by family after a courageous battle with ALS. Lynn was born October 21, 1968, in Ames, the son of Harold Eugene and Karin Sue (Hinton) Neuendorf. He graduated from NESCO High School in 1987 and was united in marriage to Deana Kae Gauch on September 8, 1990, at Bethel United Methodist Church in Zearing. Lynn worked for R.D. Reed Trucking and Rick Reed Trucking as a driver and later as a dispatcher. Lynn made many friends and acquaintances throughout his trucking career. Lynn enjoyed reading a good murder mystery, and watching classic movies. Lynn was best known for his quick wit and filling a room with laughter while telling stories. He loved boating and any activity involving his family, friends, and his dog Bear. Lynn always said his greatest accomplishment in life was raising his two wonderful children, who have made him very proud. His new found joy and love this past year was the addition of his granddaughter, Avery. Lynn is survived by his wife, Deana of Zearing; his son, Weston (Madison) Neuendorf of Parkersburg; his daughter, Makaelyn Neuendorf (fiancé Jared Clapp) of Parkersburg; his granddaughter, Avery Neuendorf; his sisters, Lisa (Ardee) Whitaker of Colo and Lori (Rob) Lodestein of Nevada; his sister-in-law, Nicole (Craig) Snider of Rhodes; and his beloved dog, Bear. Lynn was preceded in death by his Father, Harold, and his Mother, Karin. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Friday, April 2 at Bethel United Methodist Church (304 E. Main Street) in Zearing. A funeral service will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday, April 3 also at the church. Burial will follow at Lincoln Township Cemetery in Zearing. Memorial contributions may be made to the family and a memorial fund will be established at a later date. Rasmusson-Ryan Funeral Home in Nevada is handling arrangements.
