Obituary

Marcia Diane (Stoeffler) Robinson of Nevada died Saturday, December 3, 2022, at her home in Nevada surrounded by family.

Marcia was born on August 8, 1947, to John (Jack) and Marcille Bender in Mason City, Iowa. Marcia enjoyed early life on her grandparent's farm, family gatherings, attending Newman Catholic High School, and the spoils of being an only child. As a teenager she welcomed her sister Jane and brother Mike.

After graduation from Newman in 1965, Marcia attended cosmetology school and followed her passion to Ames, Iowa. Soon after moving to Ames, she met Gary Stoeffler and the two were united in marriage on March 23, 1968. To this union 3 boys were born. Shane, Shannon and Shad. Marcia, Gary and their boys established a family and a wonderful life together in Nevada, Iowa. Marcia was a wonderful, caring, loving wife and mother to her boys. She really enjoyed cooking, decorating and arts.

Marcia set herself and her personal passions aside to raise her family. As the boys grew older and were involved in school activities, she dug out some of her older passions and started to oil paint. She loved painting and met many wonderful friends.

In her early forties she brilliantly held her family together and bravely cared for her husband Gary who was stricken with cancer. She helped Gary to remission but nearly ten years later she found herself with the same challenge. Marcia was by Gary's side morning, noon, and night. For months they fought hard together before Gary passed away in June of 2002.

Marcia courageously pressed on with the support of many dear friends and family. A few years later, Larry Robinson asked Marcia to lunch. Larry and Marcia had several dinners discussing their lives, their hurts, and their loved ones. Their support of one another was a true blessing, which led to a loving unity on July 11, 2008. Marcia and Larry enjoyed a new life together for nearly 15 years. In Marcia's final years she was diagnosed with Dementia and later Alzheimer's. Marcia's final weeks and days she spent in silence with Larry by her side, day & night, taking care of her. Her silence spoke louder than any words she ever spoke, showing strength, will, warmth, selflessness, patience, kindness, gentleness and loudest of all love. Marcia faithfully passed into eternal life with Jesus Christ, her Lord and Savior.

Marcia is survived by her husband Larry Robinson; her three sons, Shane (Jody) Stoeffler of Omaha, NE and their two daughters Sena (Noah) Blackburn and Sharlynn Stoeffler; Shannon (Kristen) Stoeffler of LeMars, IA and their two children Spencer (Shaylynn) Stoeffler and their son Nasher and Pypr Stoeffler; Shad (Amy) Stoeffler of Mason City, IA and their two sons Brock (Marissa) Stoeffler and their two children Morley and Wylie and Blake Stoeffler; her four step-children; Jeff (Rachel) Robinson and daughter Felicity Robinson and her two children Remi & Rauree; Tracy (Scott) Zimmerman and son Josh Zimmerman; Joe (Britney) Robinson and their two sons Caleb & Samuel; Monica (Derek) Kardell and son Maddix; her sister Jane (Scott) McKinnon, her brother Mike Bender and special Aunt, Marlene Borcherding. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, husband Gary Stoeffler, and one granddaughter Seraiah Naysa Stoeffler (infant daughter of Shane and Jody).
