Margaret Ann Griffiths, 77 of Des Moines, died Thursday, November 10, 2022, at MercyOne Medical Center in Des Moines.

Margaret was born April 10, 1945, in Carroll County, Iowa, the daughter of Harold Asa and Dorothy Ann (Bell) Turner. She graduated from Glidden High School in 1963 and the Iowa School of Beauty. Margaret had worked at the Lucas State Office Building, the Bulk Mail Center for the Postal Service and American Can. She enjoyed owning Grouchos Bar in Urbandale from 1989-2017.

Margaret had a great work-ethic, never missing a day. Everyone knew her stubbornness and that Margaret would always get her way.

Margaret is survived by her daughter, Felicia Johnson of Des Moines; her son, Bobby Griffiths of Des Moines; her grandchildren, Zachary Carr, Madison (Tristan) Eickholdt and Riley (Mark) Stone; her great-grandchildren: Hailey, Carson, Grace, Skylar, Tristan Jr., Jaxson, Hudson, and Saige; her brother, Gary (Linda) Turner of Glidden and her sister, Jean (Donald) Pottroff of Glidden. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brothers, Raymond LeRoy Turner and John Turner.

A celebration of Margaret's life will be planned at a later date. She will be laid to rest in the Glidden Cemetery in Glidden.
