NEVADA - Margaret Ruth (Mathis) Holsinger, 90, died Monday, April 9, 2007 at Long Term Care in Nevada. Services will be Friday, April 13th at 10:30 AM at Bacon Funeral Home in Maxwell with visitation Thursday, 6:30-8:30 PM at Bacon Funeral Home in Maxwell. Margaret Ruth (Mathis) Holsinger was born to Henry and Alice Mathison on January 13, 1917, on a farm near Bondurant, Iowa. She passed away on April 9, 2007, at Long Term Care in Nevada, Iowa at the age of 90 years. Ruth attended school in Bondurant and Elkhart. She was united in marriage to Clarence (Tad) Holsinger in March of 1939 and they made their home in Maxwell. Clarence preceded her in death on October 28, 1977. She worked part-time at Donnelley's and also cleaned homes and the doctor's office for many years. Besides spending time with grandchildren, she enjoyed reading, working crossword puzzles and playing cards (she did not like to lose). Ruth is survived by one daughter, Norma (Lavern) Williams of Cambridge, four granddaughter, Bobbi (Mike) Miller of Des Moines; Jill Boettcher, Vicky (Dave) Cummings of Minnesota; Wendy Holsinger, Ames and one grandson Chris (Erica) Holsinger of Maxwell; seven great-grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren; one brother, Donald Mathis and one sister, Trudy Bradford of Maxwell. She also had many who called her Grandma and whom she considered her grandchildren. They know who they are and should know she thought a lot of them. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Tad, her son Ron, daughter-in-law, Marty, one great-granddaughter, Laura, three brothers and two sisters.
