Marianne (Sowers) Johnson passed away peacefully in her room at Story Medical Senior Care on August 3, 2025, surrounded by family, friends and staff.

Born January 21, 1960, at Story County Hospital the daughter of David and Dorothy (Dadisman) Sowers, Marianne grew up in Story County graduating from Colo Community Schools in 1978.

Marianne married Kenneth M. Johnson, son of Richard and Doris Johnson of Roland in 1981. She and Ken both worked with many of you at Donnelley's in Nevada and later Marianne was often seen working the drive through window at McDonald's.

She is survived by her son Brad Johnson of Colo; brothers Butch Sowers of Fernald and Jon Sowers of McMinnville, TN and many in-laws, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son Dwight David Johnson and her loving husband Ken.

As a celebration of her life, you are encouraged to donate to the Story Medical Senior Care or to your local food bank in her name. At this time no services have been planned.
